In the last couple of years, we could observe the strong new interactions in the triangle of the three worlds: the real world, in which we live, work, travel, manufacture, etc., the virtual world full of 0’s and 1’s and the social world of the human community.
A new, virtual world enhanced by unbelievable communication capabilities and huge data storage capacities together with the exploration of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning has dramatically entered the scene and has started to strongly influence these three engineering and research areas. The focus areas of Cybernetics, Systems Engineering and Human-Machine Systems are evolving rapidly thanks to the internet revolution and the development of new breakthrough technologies.
